AN AGING POPULATION

America's elderly are a growing population, but one that tends to be concentrated in specific geographical areas. Areas where a high percentage of the population is over the age of 65 include not only retirement hotspots like Florida and the Southwest, but also places like the Great Plains, with a high level of out-migration of younger residents.
