A map showing the percent of persons 65 and older in poverty would look very similar to the poverty map above for the total population. This map, instead, shows the percent of persons in poverty who are aged. Of interest is Florida, where there are many aged persons but where the segment of the population in poverty is actually made of a fairly low percent of aged persons.
